TRAINING DAY | ||||||||||

On Saturday morning 10th February, Motcombe hosted a branch ‘improvers’ day. About
25 ringers of all different abilities came along to enjoy the ringing, with refreshments
provided by Sylvia. Congratulations to Allan for the organisation. The afternoon concluded with an enjoyable quarter peal of Kent Treble Bob Minor called by Robert. |

NEW YEAR’S DAY | ||||||||||
For the other winner from the Auction of Promises, we rang 1080 changes of St. Martin’s, St. Simon’s,
St. Nicholas and All Saints Doubles in celebration of the Golden Wedding of Christopher and
Audrey Hooper. Congratulations to Christopher and Audrey.
The next quarter peal from the auction is planned for January 1st 2007. |

AUCTION OF PROMISES

A Quarter Peal with certificate was added to the St. Mary’s Church Auction of Promises held in
the late autumn. We were happy to ring a Quarter Peal on Friday 8th December, to celebrate the
birthday of Julian Bond, as a present from his wife, Erica Bond. We rang 1260 changes of
Grandsire Doubles.
The next quarter peal from the auction is planned for January 1st 2007. |

FESTIVE CHRISTMAS MEALWe all had a super Christmas meal at the Seymour Arms at East Knoyle. It was lovely to see our regular ringers, some new faces and returners Laurence, Gill, Gary and Amanda. Thank you to everyone for coming along and making this such a good evening. |
